Gabriel follows his father’s footsteps as a spiritual activist and creative prayer leader.

He was given an ordination as a Pursuer of Peace and the honorary title of “true representative of the Jewish people” by Rabbi Zalman Schachter Shalomi, and was initiated into the “order of disorder” by Zen Roshi Bernie Glassman. He had the honor
of a private audience and the support of His Holiness the Dalai Lama for his peace efforts in Israel/Palestine.

Sufi Sheiks from the Middle East & Africa, and studied with the acclaimed Buddhist teachers Jack Kornfield, Stan Groff, Joanna Macy & the late Thich Nhat Hanh.

Gabriel is a lifelong Peace Activist and co-founded the Sulha Peace Project with Palestinian Elias Jabbour and co-led the organization until 2009 .

Testimonials on PrayerFormance:

Gabriel’s concert ( PrayerFormance”) was like a rose opening up slowly. Every story shared by him was a medicine pill that opened my heart and weaved along with the beautiful melodies from different parts of the world. I reflected for many days after the concert on what I heard – so I can definitely state that it is a very powerful concert: art at its full potential! Nikita Llerena – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

From the first chords, I was involved in a hypnotizing, contagious, and poetic experience to say the least. Gabriel’s PrayerFormance is a blend of tango elegance, Manu Chao’s energy, Bob Marley’s activism, and Jewish essence. His work speaks to everyone’s heart. Guigo Rua – Photographer, Sao Paolo, Brazil.
