Welcome Back to In-Person Classes & Events!

Spring brings a fresh start and fresh look at BE — we can’t wait to see you again!

We also have a new website, so be sure to visit bridgeandenrich.com for an updated class and event calendar.and weekly silent meditation quotes.

We are still working on finalizing our spring and summer classes, so stay tuned for your invitations to all we have to offer.

We Are Getting Ready to Welcome You Back!

After a long hiatus due to COVID-19, we are getting ready to welcome you back to the Bridge & Enrich Lives Society. In response to BC’s health guidelines, we will be reopening with some new protocols in place.

We will be announcing class relaunch dates as our instructors confirm them. Geoff has already begun his Mysore-Style Ashtanga Yoga, so please get in touch if you are interesting in attending that!

Please read through the guide below before attending your first class, and feel free to contact us or your instructors with any questions!

Working Together

To help ensure a safe and successful relaunch, we ask that everyone work together and that each of us does our part. That means self-monitoring for symptoms, including checking your temperature, arriving within requested time frames, being extra patient with your instructors and classmates and doing what you can to help minimize the impact of additional cleaning and sanitizing on BE’s resources.

Please do not visit BE if:

  • You have returned to Canada within the past 14 days
  • You have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the past 14 days
  • You are experiencing fever or cold symptoms
  • Your social distancing bubble (e.g., the people you live with) includes someone who is sick

Visiting Bridge & Enrich

Classes and Instructors

  • Each instructor will have their own class-specific guidelines
  • Please contact your instructor to learn how your regular class may have changed and, if provided, watch the walk-through video before you visit

Payments

  • All registration and payment needs to be prearranged with your instructor so we can limit class size (payments will be online)
  • Donations to BE (especially appreciated during this difficult time with additional expenses for everyone’s safety) can be made via website donate button or e-transfer to [email protected] ?

Waiver & Contact Tracing

  • Be sure to sign the BE waiver before attending BE (no manual sign-up at the door): bridgeandenrich.com/contact-us/
  • Register for each class before attending, either with your instructor or on the MindBody app

Entering and Exiting the Space

  • Please enter via our Fraser Street entrance and sanitize your hands immediately (elevator usage is restricted to teachers only)
  • Please arrive 10 minutes before the class to allow settling in, but note you may be required to wait outside while the space is sanitized between classes
  • Socializing after class is restricted to the scheduled class timeslot and social distancing rules are applied
  • We request that you take social interactions outside as much as possible – the summer weather is inviting it!

Social Distancing

  • Maximum class size has been reduced to 15
  • You will be asked to stand along the marked lines outside the entrance while waiting your turn to enter and within a 7×7 marked space inside the building for your class
  • Please stay within the specific place assigned to you, respecting others’ space and boundaries
  • A pathway to the washroom is marked and a pathway to the exit will also be marked so we have one-way walking traffic only and social distancing can be maintained
  • Lineups for washrooms and waiting times at the basins also require social distancing etiquette

What to Bring and Wear

  • You will be asked to take off your shoes at the entrance and limit all other belongings to your assigned chair, keeping socks on until you arrive in your assigned spot – everyone will get a chair that is sanitized before/after every class to store their belongings
  • Please bring your own clean socks or slippers to wear (no bare feet); your own filled water bottle as no water will be provided, to prevent germ transfer at the tap/sink; and a small snack if you’d like (kitchen will be closed, though)
  • Wear a mask at your own discretion
  • Please bring your own yoga mats and blankets as needed
  • Do not bring additional guests with you to class, and minimize belongings you are arriving with to those necessary for your class

Sanitization

  • Everyone will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entry
  • All floors and surfaces will be sanitized by instructors before/after each class (only instructors may touch light switches and tech equipment)
  • Please try to use the bathroom before arrival to limit bathroom visits throughout the day

Temporary BE Closure Due to COVID-19

Hi everyone,

With the recent updates regarding gathering limits and the increasing number of cases in the Vancouver area, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to temporarily close Bridge & Enrich.

At this point, all special events and weekly classes are suspended through the end of March. However, we are working with our practitioners to hold as many classes/events online as possible.

Please visit our Weekly Schedule and Special Events Calendar to see which programs will be available online during this time. We will continue to post updates as the information is confirmed. To receive updates in your inbox, please sign up for our newsletter using the form in the footer of this page.

If you have already registered or purchased a ticket for a cancelled event, the individual practitioners will be following up with you.

At this point we are hopeful to return in April, but remain on standby as the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds.

Take care everyone – we hope to see you again soon.

An Update on our Roof Campaign – Thank You For Your Support!

Between the money raised and a line of credit from the bank providing the remaining funds, we have been able to cover the costs of our roof and paid up in full last month.

We would like to take a quick moment to thank you for your continued support of BE during our roof campaign.

While we were not chosen as a finalist for the Aviva Community Fund, we are thankful for encouraging votes and social shares that we received.

It is clear that the BE community is a strong one and we are pleased to say that BE is STILL BE-ing!

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING BE!

We Need Your Votes! Aviva Campaign On Now

We Need Your Votes!

We are getting closer to meeting our Roof Repair Goal! All that’s left now is to VOTE!

As you know, we are currently campaigning to raise funds to meet our special levy for the roof repair. We have submitted an application for the 2016 Aviva Community Fund and we need your votes!

The 30 applicants with the most votes in their category will go on to be finalists to be granted funds!

Voting costs nothing and everyone gets 18 votes to cast! All you need to do is register here: avivacommunityfund.org/voting/project/view/16-450.

Bridge and Enrich Roof Repair Fundraiser

We Need Your Help to Keep Going

We are sustained by “dana,” revenues offered to us by members, practitioners and guests from the treasury of their hearts. Thus far, these donations are covering roughly half our monthly operating costs that average $7,000 and the rest is a flow from a line of credit, my personal commitment to the space.

The building we are located in is in need of an immediate roof replacement now scheduled for the end of the summer. Our share of this cost is based on square footage, and is amounting to $36,000. We are part of a strata building that has 28 residential units in addition to the one commercial unit that we call home.

To continue offering the BE platform to our community, members, practitioners and friends, Bridge & Enrich is issuing a challenge to all its supporters: Please help us raise the $36,000.
We need the support of our community to help us meet the cost of the roof repair so that we can reopen with grace and ease in the fall.

Today we appeal to you to open your hearts and ride this wave of expansion with us.

Reminder: We Are Closed for Victoria Day, Monday May 18th

Just a quick reminder that Bridge & Enrich will be closed for every Statutory Holiday that falls on a Monday. We will be closed this coming Monday, May 18th for Victoria Day and re-open on Tuesday. All your favourite Monday activities will resume on May 25th!

(And, we would like to thank Coral, from the Paperblanks® Graphics Department for subbing in as Queen Victoria)
