Date: Thursday, January 23rd
Join Thursday evening for a deeply immersive and meditative experience of sound. All proceeds of this event will go towards supporting the remarkable work that the Australian Wildlife Rescue Organization (WIRES) is doing to help save animals injured by the devastating bush fires. Let's provide support from Canada!
In sound immersion you hear and feel a symphony of tones from crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, tuning forks, bells and other overtone emitting instruments. The experience is often called a sound bath because it literally feels like you are being bathed in sound. It is a deep, somatic listening experience that offers people a gentle way to connect to their bodies and de-stress their nervous systems.
People often experience a sense of relaxation for days after a sound immersion, reporting tension and pain relief as well as improved cognition, sleep and mood. It is peaceful yet powerful for mind and body.
Throughout the 60-minute session, your nervous system releases tension, your brain waves naturally slow and you shift into a relaxed, lucid, dreamlike state.
Please dress warmly in comfortable clothes and bring your own yoga mat, blanket or anything else you will need to provide additional comfort. You will be lying down on the floor for 60-minutes.
