“I danced with Judith Garay’s Dancers Dancing for over a decade, and highlights include teaching workshops and performing all over Western Canada while co-creating with over twenty acclaimed choreographers. In 2010 I received a scholarship to study choreography at University of Arizona in Tucson where I received a Masters of Fine Art.

“Now I am back in Vancouver and am in full swing with Dezza Dance, performing energetic and soulful new works and with Catalyst Mentorship Program, guiding emerging professionals in a graceful transition from being a student to being a pro. My purpose is to create meaningful experiences through dance. I look forward to offering you tools to creatively integrate your body, mind, soul and Spirit.”

Desirée Dunbar mentors emerging professionals in her Vancouver-based Catalyst Program and is artistic director of Dezza Dance. She has an MFA in choreography from the University of Arizona.  She is also a Reiki and Energetic NLP practitioner.

“It is my mission to assist dancers in peeling back layers of awareness through movement and energetic processes in order to get closer to answering the question, who am I really? The results are an enhanced experience of deep-self love, confidence in sharing gifts with the world and more joy, satisfaction and meaning in life.”
